Sept 20, 2018 — Shinydocs joined an elite group of IT solution providers last night for the CDN Channel Innovation Awards (CIA). Twenty organizations from across Canada were recognized for the creation of solutions and services that provide their partners and customers with a unique value proposition.

Walking away with the Diamond Award for the Best FinTech Solution, Shinydocs was credited with making business content shine through its “invisible infrastructure”. CEO, Jason Cassidy, accepted the award on behalf of the entire Shinydocs team for its solution for a major financial institution in Canada.

“We’re pleased that organizations across all industries are seeing enormous value from the way our solutions transform their data landscape. Financial organizations, in particular, have extremely stringent data compliance and security requirements. It’s essential for them to be able to integrate a backend that meets enterprise record-keeping requirements into the workflow of end-users,” said Cassidy. “Large organizations that need to meet compliance standards can’t just throw all their files in an unorganized shared drive.”

With Shinydrive, the financial organization sees all 600 of its content users accessing company documents stored in the corporate file system through the Shinydrive interface as a simple drive in Windows Explorer. Virtually no on-boarding was needed. Now the client plans to eliminate all of its shared drives, migrating all of its content to its ECM to be located with Shinydrive.

It’s also planning to launch an AI tool — Shinydocs Cognitive Analysis tool. This will migrate legacy content that was stored prior to the use of the current ECM in 2016. With the help of machine learning to crawl and classify data, Shinydocs can improve transparency, and increase trust in a single version of the truth.
